Continued access to goods and services

• [n.d.] The Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services has announced that it would continue services during the government shutdown and has been monitoring the situations of older persons, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable individuals.

Accessible public information 

• [31 October 2020] The National Emergency Operations Centre has had volunteers provide sign language interpretation services at all briefings on COVID-19.

Medical and quarantine policies and processes

• [30 March 2020] The COVID-19 Quick Reference Guidelines put forward basic requirements for a quarantine facility or home quarantine. There is a mechanism for addressing the needs of persons with disabilities.
• [22 May 2020] The Ministry of Health has laid out guidelines on healthcare facility operation amid COVID-19, which included training health workers on how best to support persons with disabilities at healthcare centres.
• [16 February 2021] Mobile vaccination efforts have commenced to reach persons with disabilities who could not attend vaccination centres.

Social protection and employment support

• [9 July 2020] The Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services has requested personal sanitation and essential items for persons with disabilities from WHO.
