The Second Session of the Working Group on the Asian and Pacific Decade of Persons with Disabilities was organized by ESCAP in cooperation with the Government of India through the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment from 2 to 3 March 2015 in New Delhi, India. The Session was convened in pursuance of the recommendations made and the rules of procedure adopted by the Working Group, at its First Session (25-26 February 2014, Incheon, Republic of Korea).
30 Working Group members reviewed the regional progress in the Asian and Pacific Decade of Persons with Disabilities, 2013-2022, including in the implementation of decisions taken at the First Session, and discuss other relevant issues pertaining to the implementation of the Incheon Strategy to "Make the Right Real" for Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific.
The Working Group made four decisions and had seven recommendations. According to one recommendation, the ESCAP secretariat completed the Operational Guide: Disability-inclusive Meetings.
